
Upon inquiring and before making a reservation for any supplier you should very well take note that you need to at least your basic wedding details to them so they can match their schedule with you. Just like any other supplier, when trying to search or book a Hair and Makeup Artist (HMUA) service for your wedding or prenup, be sure to take ask the following during your encounter with them. But before doing so better do the inquiry using your email account for proof that you can check later but be sure that you have already included in your initial inquiry the following so they can check on their end if they’re available.
- name
- date of event
- time of event
- tentative location
- contact information (email, mobile #, viber # etc)
- tell where you found out about them (optional, but this is good especially if you’re going to haggle for possible discounts later on due to referrals)

- free hair and makeup trial
- groom’s grooming
- number of retouches

- eyebrow grooming
- if with prenup service or not
- make up style recommendation: airbrush or traditional HD make up
- rates of other services (if hair and makeup trial is not included etc)
- rate of additional heads not included in the contract
- types of makeup brands to be used
- total number of crew/staff for the wedding and prenup (who is the head HMUA etc)
- crew meal preference (packed food or allowance)
- for prenup: studio only or not
- retouch: if the main HMUA will do your retouch or not (some ask for a separate fee if you want your main HMUA to do your retouch, if not his/her assistant will do it)
- contract details
- package upgrade
- package downgrade
- cancellation
- refunds
- non-refundable deposits
- discount, promo etc that you can avail
- payment terms (full payment or cash)
- preferred payment type (cash, remittance or through bank deposit)
- OOT Fees
- Transport fees for OOT venues (some ask this separately)
- aesthetic and hygienic protocols (style of their work, how they work, etc.)
- other supplier recommendations like Stylist, Photo and Video team etc
TIPS:
- Check the Wedding Hair and Makeup Artist list with their rates to know the popular and reputable HMUAs in the country.
- Always check the recent work of your chosen Supplier especially the feedback and review from past clients.
