This is a very common question for any couple getting married. When is the right time to do our prenup shoot? Next month? After 6 months? 1 month before the wedding? Next holiday? As a former bride myself, I’ve been through these questions dozens of times to the point that Garry was telling me to just choose whichever date is okay and done! We’re good to go. As if it’s that easy… But seriously though, choosing the right, perfect, awesome prenup date is not as easy as 1, 2, 3 because you need to consider a lot of factors. It’s similar to arranging your own wedding event, just that it’s a photoshoot (or videoshoot).
So for your Prenup/ Engagement shoot, you can choose any date, any location you desire, any pegs that you want to do etc but unfortunately, it will still depend on the following factors that you definitely need to consider:
We wanted our Entourage to be their most beautiful on our wedding so we made sure to hire the best possible HMUA who can do justice to our specific peg in mind. Luckily, we found him during our search when his former bride, who was a friend of ours, referred him to us. Here is our supplier review for our Entourage HMUA — CARISSA CIELO MEDVED
After checking my Ipad for photos, I stumbled upon our unofficial photos during our prenup sessions and on the wedding day itself. If you’ve been reading the blog you’ve probably noticed that we got the services of three fabulous and popular wedding HMUAs based in Manila! Below are some of our photos which can help you decide if you are looking for your wedding HMUA or if you have already shortlisted them. I have posted some of the photos before in some posts here but just found it interesting to put it all together in one single post. Also, I’m the morena-chinita-type who doesn’t have any double eyelids so finding the bestest HMUA in Manila was a challenge for me especially I’m on a budget, based overseas and I don’t have time to do trial hair and make-up.
Every girl deserves to look perfect on her wedding day and I felt that I’m no exception of course. With our long list of shortlisted HMUA that can be found HERE, we felt that choosing Toni Aviles was the best decision we did! Below is our supplier detail review for our wedding HMUA — TONI AVILES
Video Prenup Videographer:VIDLENS PRODUCTIONS Supplier Rating:5/5 Package inclusions: Comes with our Heartfelt wedding package
It was Garry who found Vidlens among the long list of upcoming Wedding Videographers in the Philippines and we booked them for our wedding long before we joined the Weddings at Work community so it’s really nice to see how the team has gone so far. (Congrats on being Top 10!) Since we were an overseas couple, we were only able to communicate with Brian Carambas, the owner of Vidlens Productions through skype video calls and FB. We instantly hit it off especially sila ni fiance since he’s also into video editing. My fiance conceptualized the idea of the prenup video shoot and with the help of Brian, literal na inupuan nila through skype video call for 4 hours yung details ng shoot. Sila na ang super OC!
Video Prenup HMUA:ISH SISON Supplier Rating:4.5/5 Package inclusions: Airbrush and unlimited look for the couple OOT Fee:Php 5000 (for Batangas area)
Ish was on top of my shortlisted choices for our HMUA since I’ve seen her works on FB and I really adored how perfectly neat the eyebrows of her clients were! I heard it before that you can know how great your HMUA is if they’re really good with eyebrows..since eyebrows are life!
Photo Prenup HMUA:TONI AVILES Supplier Rating:5/5 Package inclusions: Airbrush and unlimited look for the couple
Toni was just exceptional with his craft! From the time I saw his IG works of his former brides, I knew I had to get Toni and thankfully he was still available for our hot-peak-season-date! We booked him for our wedding and added the Airbrush prenup services even without doing the trial make-up because I just had this this-is-it feeling that he would be doing great and he exceeded our expectation!
Photo Prenup Stylist: JEFF GALANG Supplier Rating:5/5 Package:Gold (4 layouts with Stylist OTD of the Prenup)
* We will show the full set later after the Prenup Photo Supplier Reviews are completed. *
We thought we can DIY our prenup attire and accessories since we already bought shoes and some clothes as per our theme in mind and thought that stylist fees are just too expensive for our budget. But we ended up hiring one after we had a meeting with our photographer and discussed our theme where he clearly explained that stylists can help especially if there is not enough time to create mood boards etc We considered this since we were also really busy with work and the preparations for our flight back to Manila 2 weeks before our scheduled prenup shoot. We used to see Jeff Galang’s works as a celebrity stylist before from our researches online, so when our photographer dropped his name as one of his recommended stylists, automatically we knew we have to get Jeff.
Upon inquiring and before making a reservation for any supplier you should very well take note that you need to at least your basic wedding details to them so they can match their schedule with you. Just like any other supplier, when trying to search or book an HMUA service for your wedding or prenup, be sure to take ask the following during your encounter with them. But before doing so better do the inquiry using your email account for proof that you can check later but be sure that you have already included in your initial inquiry the following so they can check on their end if they’re available.
date of event
time of event
contact information (email, mobile #, viber # etc)
tell where you found out about them (optional, but this is good especially if you’re going to haggle for possible discounts later on due to referrals)
