One of the underrated things that couples need to tick off from the Wedding Checklist is the WeddingSupplier Crew Meals. Before we thought that we don’t need to allot money for this since only a few suppliers will be present at our wedding and actually akala namin kasama na yung food nila sa bayad namin. Admittedly,we felt naive with this concept at first since here in Kuwait, whenever we freelance with some events, either we’d always be included in the guest list or we need to make sure that we’re already full and not expect our clients to feed us because it’s not part of the agreement. But, in the Philippines, it’s entirely different. So after we researched on the importance of crew meals and talking to our Coordinator, we came to realize that we should definitely provide for them because they will be working very hard for more than 6 hours on our wedding day! After going through all supplier contracts and double checking it with our Coordinator, we come to realize that our expected numbers of crews have increased and that suppliers even have their own “preferred” meals or corresponding meal allowances.
During your wedding’s final detailing phase, there are certain things with your details that you get confused who should you talk to about and who should be working with. Below are the things that are mostly applicable to those couples who got OTD Coordinators only since from the start you and your hubby have managed to book all of your suppliers directly and by yourselves.
The suppliers below are supposed to be 100% responsible for the following during your wedding’s final detailing to ensure a smooth process. Again, these are all based on our own experiences.
Garry and I both love cakes. It’s our comfort food. So it’s a non-negotiable for us to treat ourselves to have a beautiful cake for our wedding. Good thing that my best friend was their former bride aside from their numerous celebrity clients so the trust was already there right from the start. Here’s our supplier review for our wedding cake supplier — HONEY GLAZE CAKES
As we have emphasized before, food is actually one of the most important details of any wedding reception, since honestly, this is one of the top things that guests (everyone to be exact) will remember most on any wedding or event for that matter. Below is our supplier review for our chosen caterer – JOSIAH’S CATERING
Mode of Communication: Email, Landline (if needed)

Wedding are usually remembered for two things: overall look of the venue and good food. Yes — the delicious, sumptuous, over flowing food with a lot of variety that was presented well for all of the guests to enjoy! Add the alcohol too on the side and the lechon, especially for Filipino weddings in particular. But generally, how the food was presented, how it tasted and how it was served during the wedding reception will definitely be remembered by everyone who was there at your big day..forever. So, this supplier should be at your top most priority. Like, really!

I’m a cake aficionado but ironically it was part of the least priority in our wedding checklist since we are on a budget and our minds are already occupied with the other “big things”. Also we didn’t bother in sourcing out a wedding cake supplier because initially our Wedding Cake is already part of our caterer’s package when we availed them. The package includes 3 layers of edible cake and by looking at the photos they have, they all looked okay to me. Since it’s definitely not in our priority list, the idea also dawned on me again after talking to my Matron of Honor, Meann, who told me that their cake was one of the most memorable highlights of their wedding. She even showed me photos of their 5 layers wedding cake and I was really wowed. She then recommended that I check out their cake supplier (she got married back in 2013) and see for myself if I’d change my mind in getting a separate wedding cake supplier. Immediately I took her cake supplier’s number and set an appointment. That was back in December 2015.
