PROS:

Budget-wise, location, size and the atmosphere of the place perfectly fits our theme in mind. Very friendly and prompt sa replies si Ms Michelle Domingo, in-law of the owner. We only had our transactions via FB chat and everything was really smooth. She was really nice and accommodating with all our questions.

When we had the ocular a day before the shoot, we were able to see the house for the first time and it was really more beautiful as compared to the photos posted on FB. The house was what we were looking for! Casa Domingo imbues a mixture of an old Spanish house with a modern twist. We even arrived late around 8PM for the ocular but her husband was still nice enough to accommodate us to see the place for ourselves. The place was really welcoming and you can instantly feel a sense of pride from the owners itself. It was so peaceful, well-maintained and elegant. The son of the owner even told us that it wasn’t really an old house but it was made from scratch and conceptualized by his father, the owner himself, Mr. Domingo who happened to be a banker (not an Architect, Fine Arts Major or Interior Designer) by profession!

Also, even though we weren’t able to meet Michelle in person since she was on vacation at that time, we were able to coordinate everything with her key persons, her husband Mr. JD (during the ocular) and Ms. Racquel (on the day of the shoot). It was really interesting to note that the owners were nice enough to offer us to use their private TV room located in the 2nd floor where there’s AC for our hair and makeup preps and were told to just add 200/hour on top of the contract package. They also allowed for food deliveries for the whole team, but just be sure to keep everything clean before you leave. It’s also not difficult to find restaurants in the area since Alabang-Zapote road is full of restaurants and SM Southmall is around 30 mins away (no traffic). Since the shoot was more than 5 hours, we also had overtime pero hindi na kami pinabayaran pa!

CONS:

  • The location was a bit difficult to find even if it’s on Waze since the map would make you go around another block when there’s a quick shortcut just after the gate. So be sure to check with Ms. Michelle for the map so you won’t get lost if you’re not familiar with the area.
  • There were mosquitoes during the shoot and we actually forgot to bring a mosquito-repellent.
  • We were supposed to shoot in the roof top but the owners didn’t allow us so instead we used the wall and the outcome was still amazing.

Hi! May I ask how much you paid Casa Domingo for the prenup fee? 🙂 Thanks!

    1. Hi Carmela. Their prenup fee is Php 6000 for the first 4 hours and there’s a 500/hour fee. If you’ll use the room with AC it’s Php 7500. But directly contact Ms Michelle of Casa Domingo to be sure.
