      Hi Angelyn. I really felt the need to do this since there’s really no single guideline out there that I could quickly look at whenever I want to remember which suppliers we have shortlisted etc. Thanks that you like it 🙂 Yes we have chosen already for our Photographer based on their style which I liked the most and its on “Our Dream Team” page. For the Videographer, we are torn between two.. and I’ll be posting that later. 🙂

   Hi im abi, i am also looking for photgrapher and videographer for my wedding and tama nga its really expensive . I never thought ganun pala ang pricing nila wala akong idea since im the first one who will be getting married in the family. And i live in abroad i really really dont have a clue lalo na sa venue 😰 i hope you get to find your supplier.

      Hi Abi. I know how you feel! We compiled these rates from weeks of researching from one supplier to the next. Nakakaloka to be honest primarily dahil sa pricing nila especially for us OFWs. I never really thought that the wedding industry lately is getting more expensive, it’s like a commodity na! By the way I will be posting later our list for possible venues. I hope these information can help you to find your photographer and videographer!

   Hi, I’m also a bride to be here. You might want to check Hello&co. Cinema. They have a very reasonable rate but quality is excellent. I was also stressed out upon knowing the rates of my dream suppliers but just search and your patience will pay off. Good luck and congrats! 🙂

   Very familiar too with most of the names here..I did some extensive research and yeah, expensive but worth if carefully selected as this will record your memories on your special day.
   Also, there are some who offer discounts, promos and personalized packages that suits your budget so give it a try to ask too.

Yes I’ve asked all of them (literally) about on going promos, any freebies or discounts and tried to use my best haggling skills since we’re still more than a year away but not everyone has one.    I highly recommend Indemand Wedding Films. They have a very professional team! Especially Jerome, When we met Sir Jerome in a wedding fair, we found a very humble man (not the typical supplier who will really market people by words). We signed in to their team for our wedding even without researching about them after seeing their sample videos coz we we’re really impressed. When our SDE was shown, BOOOOM! Our tears just fell down…and just said…”ang ganda”..They captured our happy, precious moments and made it a lifetime souvenir. We are so proud that we have their team for giving us that captivating video, I know that they’ll go places! They are one of the best suppliers:) Thanks for adding them on this blog… I was actually searching for a blog where I can post a review for them…

    Hi! I recently booked my wedding photographer from the Edsa Shang wedding fair last weekend, his name is Derrick Ian Lim and he is associated with Imagine Nation. He used to be a master photographer with Imagine Nation until he was finally given the blessing to start his own brand. I like his style mostly because his shots are true to color – i mean, they don’t look overexposed/ there’s no white wash on the photo (yung parang it’s too bright/white kasi mejo over exposed yung shot). Coz apparently, white washing is a trend these days to give photos that dramatic effect. What i love about Derrick’s style is that his shots are still dramatic without the overexposure effect. He has a knack for capturing those natural, candid moments. What’s more is that he tries to connect with his clients so their personalities shine during the shoot. This makes it easier for camera shy or camera awkward people to feel more comfortable in front of a camera. As for rate, we booked him with a discount coz of the fair but his regular rate for the package he gave us is around 85k. We got full wedding documentation + prenup shoot + 1 song prenup avp + same day photo avp + 100 prints 4r size photos + 12×12 40 page album + 2 copies 10×10 parents’ album and soft copy in usb.

    Still looking for videographers although im into this group called Rewind Media. Rates are also very competitive and the style is pretty good too. Good balance of fun and dramatic. Hope this helps fellow brides! 🙂

    Good choice on Ruffa + Mike, they covered my brother’s wedding in 2012 and the output was awesome. I would have gotten them despite their rate spiked since, kaya lang booked na daw sila 😦

    I’ve checked out Jeff and Lisa, excellent artists but whew, costs an arm and leg. Their lowest package is 100K. We tried Ruffa+Mike but failed, we’ve checked out other local suppliers sa province but not our type. We are now in negotiation with Polk Wedding Studios, he’s done work for Nicolai Melicor so his craftsmanship is fresh and clean, the type we are looking for. Plus he is passionate with what he’s doing and easy to work with, this is something we look for in a supplier. Sabi ko, sisikat tong taong to. The photos were really beautiful and the team was very professional! And the lead photographer James was very accommodating and easy to talk to!     Great blog! Really informative and helpful! Will be getting married by December 2017 and currently checking out the videographers in this list! We already booked our photographer and unfortunately they’re not in this list. They covered my sister’s wedding last year and the photos were really beautiful! The photographer’s name is Polk Wedding Studios. The team was very professional and easy to talk to! especially their lead photographer sir James. Their website is http://www.polkweddingstudios.com
    They’re not that expensive too! great quality that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg!

    Hi. OFW bride to be here. We are eyeing One Carlo for photo and Dreamechanics for video. Over budget na kami dahil sa One Carlo. Do you think they have different rates for OFWs? Gusto ko sana manghingi ng discount kay OC since i heard pag wawie ka ung ibang suppliers nagbbgay sila ng discount pero nahihiya ako. I dont know how to haggle. But i think i have to learn dahil ayoko mag overspend

       Hi Hazel. As far as we know wedding suppliers don’t have separate rates for OFWs. You can only get discounted rates if they have existing promos or if you book them during bridal fairs. It’s better to inquire with them directly and try to haggle with their rates if you can. True some suppliers give discounts if you’re a wawie but they would ask for waw tags to be sure if you’re a legit wawie. Good luck!

It seems like all the service that we need are in their package? Or Photographers nalang and not videographers since other photographers also do SDE? O magkaiba yun? Thank you sis.        Hi Jen. Magkaiba ang photographer sa videographer. Don’t be confused with SDEs or Same Day Edit. Both photographers and videographers do that. If you want to have still shots, get a photographer. If you want to capture video or moving scenarios during your event, get a videographer. Again, they are different and have different rates.

          Magkakaiba bayad ng lahat ng suppliers unless they have a collaborative work or package offer na nakapromo. Though I would highly suggest to get a Pro para iwas stress and problems.

    Toto is the worst! Pls research and ask around before booking him! He is unprofessional, irresponsible, and he doesnt take nice pics. His blog is very deceiving! He replies fast for new clients. After u pay him, GOOD LUCK. and the pics? Worst! Inuutusan lang niya mga minions nya to take most of it. Patdy still the best as cliche as it may sound.

Yes I agree with that since we also considered them before but because we were on a budget, we used the web and researched more for underrated video teams who has similar quality output with Mayad but definitely way more affordable.. and that’s how we ended up with our video team, Vidlens.

    hello bride to be here 😀 I would like to get photographer with videographer na, i think mas mahrapan ako contakin cla if hiwalay pa. would you recommend who can do both? also with below 150k sana for photog and video na:)

    i have 2 friends who worked with niceprint, and they dont recommend them, hnd sila nag reresponse agad and it took them more than a year ma publish ung album after nung wedding and mas priority daw nila mga artista. 😦

       Hi Sky. If you’re decided to get a photo+video team together, we listed 5 suppliers in the list above. We can’t personally recommend them since we weren’t able to get their services but only shortlisted them because pasok sila sa checklists namin here https://ourbudgetdreamwedding.com/2018/01/08/wedding-photographer-and-videographer-checklist/

       Also, if your budget is 150k and you worry that by getting a separate p/v would be a problem, don’t. We actually ended up getting separate photo and video teams at wala kami naging problem even with communications given our location that we’re both based overseas on a different time zone. Best decisions that we did pa nga to get them separately kasi they really got what we were looking for! The photos and videos that you see here in our blog speaks for their work plus the great reviews that you would encounter if you’ll search them on FB or google. We would always highly recommend them over and over again — Vidlens (video), Myio Okamoto (photo) and Benjie Tiongco (photo). 😊

       Regarding Nice Print, I’m sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, we also had friends who got them for their wedding and mixed reviews talaga, but in our opinion, output-wise, sobrang laki talaga ang difference ng quality ng pagkakagawa ng celebrity wedding SDE vs normal people wedding SDE and even photos na assuming pinaka expensive na package kinuha. Obvious naman kahit wala experience sa photography or videography ang manonood ng SDE or makakakita ng photos. Probably nakabawi lang with the package inclusion like frames and photo albums.. but still if we’re going to pay 150k, it won’t be about prioritizing getting picture frames or photo albums but making sure that we get the best possible photos and videos of our wedding kasi easy na lang to source out outside suppliers to print photo albums eh on a much cheaper rate pa. Anyway during our shortlisting, naalala ko lang we also found out that output quality would vary depending on the team assigned to the wedding and of course the best teams of photo and video would go to the celebs, hence the major difference in the output.

          Thank you for this! we’ll review them later 🙂 i have inquired to Alvin guevarra photography, his rate is 125k photo and video na with prenup photo and video as well inclusive of aerial shot na din. Out of 4 sila ung pasok sa budget and package hehe. kaya ask ko lng sino may experience dto to work with them so i can overview. upon checking ksi sa FB wala mashado reviews from the community since photographer and videographers competition here in ph have a very wide range. tia:)

          Hi Sky. Good to hear that but try to check others pa din. Again we shortlisted them before kasi pasok sila sa budget range namin and at that time we found their works ok but we can’t vouch for their work unless we have previously worked for them and that goes with Alvin Guevarra Photography for example. Just continue to inquire and hopefully you’ll be able to get yung gusto niyo talaga. Just don’t forget other fees kasi it can also make or break your expenses especially if you’re going to have a destination wedding. Happy preps! 😊

          Yes we got Lights & Flair to cover our wedding wayback nung hindi pa sila ganun kasikat. Sa waw/wawies private group (weddings at work) group sila trending. Their photos can tell how they are really good. Their photos speak as if it has a story. Their works are just like those na nasa limelight but their price are very affordable. They were featured several times na sa bride and breakfast. They are one of those most sought wedding photographers today if you are looking for modern, candid and documentary style. You should really check them out. Mas updated yung facebook page nila.

    We had RV Mitra team to do our wedding photographer and Videographer last Dec 2018 at Shangri-la Makati and at this time that I am writing this email – 8th Jan 2020, I am still waiting for my wedding album and copies of everything that they have done.
    I gave him our chosen photos within 5 months from our wedding date and I have done numerous follow ups on all different portals like email, phone, Facebook, IG, etc and all other portals and yet – I would say that you can expect a tortoise to move faster than his response.
    I cannot believe how unprofessional he is to us. I don’t think it is fair as we have been easy to deal with, we paid on time and we respected the signed contract. I must say though that they SDE on site video was good but
    I am extremely gutted and I hope for those looking for a team – I do not recommend them if you want a prompt, professional, and less stress (or no stress) photographer team.
    I am just so disgusted really.

       Hi Pam. One word — Wow. I’m sorry to hear about your bad experience with RV Mitra and I felt sad that you and your hubby have to go through it. But, have you checked the clause in your contract about the turn-over deadline? Because as far as we know and as per rule of thumb, unless it’s the couple’s fault of not cooperating with the Photographer and Videographer, the turn-around of materials would take longer. In our case, for example, our wedding photos were already available after a year but since we wanted things to be more personalized and had a couple of revisions, it took around 1.5 years. And it was our choice it took that long since we customized everything from the layout, draft, style, wedding album box etc.

       But thank you for sharing your personal experience with them so other couples would be aware of these kinds of things. I hope you can get your wedding album and copies soon!

    Thank you Aiki and Garry. We are also not based in the Philippines so it’s also another thing. Yes, I did go through the contract a few times and I’m on my last stretch before I snap and take this further. This is driving me mad and causing me a lot of stress and trauma. On a separate note – I just wanted to let you know how I appreciate your beautiful and detailed website. I must say that I made this one of my guidelines when I was planning my wedding.        I know exactly how it feels when you’re being neglected and you feel helpless especially since you’re not in Manila to sort things out personally. But, try to hold it a bit longer if you can because who knows what they’re going through? I know you’re mad and I can feel it, but try to get their side first? Hav you called RV Mitra directly and talked to him about this? If emails and FB messages won’t work, what if calling them on their mobile or land line would work as a last option?

    Does the rate include the payment for the trip to the wedding venue like in Leyte? Or do you have to pay for that and accomodation of the crew too?

       Hi Chelsea,

       Rates that Wedding Suppliers in general usually posts only include their services. Transportation (sometimes includes gas), accommodation, crew meals and other out-of-town (OOT) fees are exclusive and they would vary depending on the supplier. I have different posts in the blog that covered these as well.

       Also, due to the pandemic, rates for other miscellaneous such as RT PCR is shouldered by the client, unless included in the package. Better check with your specific suppliers to be sure.

For other reviews about photo and video teams that we have worked with and highly recommend you can check the following names such as Myio Okamoto (photo), Benjie Tiongco (photo), Toby Ramos (photo) and Vidlens (video). In this blog we have created separate reviews about them. They are highly recommended and are the best names in the industry! They’re not super expensive like the other big names but the quality of their work is superb. Hindi ka magsisisi.

          Thank you for this, we know Myio, we have seen their works but its almost same nadin sa other photographers nowadays. Benjio Tiongco naman on the other hand is traditional style which we dont prefer. Anyway, thank you so much for your response!
